Job Description
- Reviewing Tender Documents: Reviewing tender documents including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities to understand the project requirements and scope of work.
- Estimation and Costing: Assisting in estimating the costs of mechanical and electrical works for tender submissions. This involves analyzing materials, labor, equipment, and other costs associated with M&E systems.
- Value Engineering: Proposing value engineering solutions to optimize costs while maintaining the required performance and quality standards.
- Subcontractor Pre-qualification: Identifying potential subcontractors for M&E works and assessing their capabilities, qualifications, and past performance.
- Technical Proposal Preparation: Collaborating with the bid team to prepare technical proposals, including method statements, work programs, and technical specifications for M&E systems.
- Risk Assessment: Conducting risk assessments related to M&E systems to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordination: Liaising with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of M&E systems with the overall project design.
- Value Management: Participating in value management meetings to explore cost-saving opportunities and improve the overall value proposition of M&E systems.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that all M&E designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Client Presentations: Participating in client presentations to explain proposed M&E solutions, address queries, and negotiate contract terms.
- Technical Clarifications: Responding to technical queries and clarifications raised by clients, consultants, or subcontractors during the tendering process.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and challenges associated with M&E works and developing risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
