Job Description
- Perform sampling and testing of raw material, WIP, and finished goods in accordance as per the LAB SPI procedures
- Sample collection, analysis of RMs & FG samples
- Understand and precisely follow written lab procedures, global methods, and local methods.
- Preparation of standard solutions & bench reagents
- Standardization of standard solutions
- Log in all analysis data in the QI Analyst
- Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory notebooks and records
- Perform verification/calibration of lab equipment as per SOP (e.g. pH meter, weighing scales, viscometer, FTIR, HPLC, Solid Analyzer, Moisture Analyzer, Karl Fischer)
- Maintain calibration records
- Inventory monitoring & reporting of lab chemicals, glassware & other lab accessories
- Undertake glassware washing & storage
- Perform housekeeping in the Analytical Lab.
- Maintain GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) & Lab safety norms
- Segregate waste & dispose at the end of each shift
- Support plant initiatives in improving process improvement
- Participates in failure investigations to collect the necessary samples when appropriate
- Perform testing on the EMO/plant trial samples
- Maintains chemicals, reagents, and samples
- Maintains the laboratory quality control system to assure validity of data
- Ensure adequate focus on personal hygiene practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Chemistry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to read and write in English
- Basic computer skills including Google Sheet/ Microsoft Excel or Google Docs/ Microsoft Word
- More than 3 years experience and able to operate and perform tests using HPLC and FTIR
- Experience working in a consumer goods/ FMCG industry is preferred
- Mandatory to commit to shift works
