Job Description

The Costing Engineer shall assist to study, review and complete tender on time for all Electrical & Instrumentation tender.

Job Responsibility

Study scope of works, specification, drawings, bill of quantity, schedule of technical data & schedule of unit rates and request for information (RFI) from client if any
Register quotation number from ERP Opportunities.
Prepare and request quotation from supplier / vendor
Taking off quantity, evaluation supplier quotation and complete tender costing worksheet
Follow the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to compile a quality tender and gain Manager / Assistant Manager approval before sending to the customer
Manage, filing and always update ERP Opportunities from date to date.
Attend site visit, technical and commercial interview with Manager.
Key in Customer Order, task and project budget in ERP System.
Prepare kick off report, project budget, catalogues and progress claim format for handover to Project team.
To check and manage variation order / quotation prepare by project team
Negotiation commercial issue with supplier/vendor


Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Engineering or a field related to their work
